Inderal

Inderal is a prescription only drug approved by the FDA for its oral, tablet version in 1973. IT has a pregnancy category C which means the use Inderal during pregnancy involves some risk. The use of this drug is not recommended in patients suffering from slow heart rate and those with the previous history of heart failure.

Inderal dosage

Inderal is a prescription only drug as per the FDA rules and it should only be taken after consultation with a doctor. You should not take Inderal if you are allergic to propranolol or if you have asthma, slow heart rate or “AV block”. Tell your doctor about your history of using similar drugs and any other medications you are currently using. More specifically you should intimate your doctor if you have:
Muscle disorder
Breathing disorder
Low blood sugar
Depression
Liver or kidney problem
Thyroid problem
Asthma

Inderal for migraines has an initial recommended dose of 80 mg daily taken in divided doses. After that, it can go from 160mg to 240mg per day as per requirement.
For Hypertension treatment using Inderal, the initial dosage is 40mg twice daily. After that, 120mg to 240mg per day is adequate.
In a case of Angina Pectoris, daily doses of 80mg to 320mg orally have been found to give the best response.
Inderal medication can be stopped or slowed down after assessing and discussing your progress with your doctor.

Inderal Side effects

Side effects of Inderal dizziness, tiredness, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, vision problems, insomnia, nightmares. Inderal use may also cause changes in your blood pressure especially to your hands and feel. If you are a smoker using Inderal, it is best to not smoke while you are on Inderal medication to avoid any risk.
